America is Breathing Again!

There has been lots of talk about the increasing political polarization that is growing in the country. There were the town meetings of August. There were and continue to be Tea Parties, now in over 40 cities. The B.O. administration and the lefties have called them mobs and liars. Harry Reid called them Un-American. Nancy Pelosi called them Nazis. MSNBC, the Obama News Network, have called them tea baggers with obvious double entendre of the sexual act of testicle play. Is America falling apart? No, America is breathing again. Historically, or at least in recent history, protests have been the sacred territory of the left. They are comprised of students and their faculty propaganda leaders, environmentalist and other assorted so called intellectuals who always seem to be “between jobs.” They protest war (any war will do), the mating conditions of the wild life, climate change and the inequities of free enterprise. All of these causes, on some level, have merit; however, not to the point where they dilute our security, economy or quality of life. Economically, the left is for the redistribution of wealth, and the creation of a big nanny government that cares for everyone from cradle to grave. A great idea except they would prefer not to put their hands their own pocket but yours. It’s ironic that in every poll, conservatives, who are portrayed as being selfish, and insensitive, are in reality more generous by a large margin than liberals. Statistically, America is a center right country. The majority being hard working rugged individuals, who care for their families, pay their bills and taxes. They have been too busy to take time off to protest. Up to now, with maybe the exception of Jimmy Carter, they never have had a president who has threatened the traditions of the country. They never had a President who was constantly apologizing to the world for our sacrifice and generosity! They never had a President who has spent, in six months, the sum total of all budgets since George Washington! They never had a President who wanted to nationalize auto, health care and who knows, what other industries! They never had a President who hired over 30 Czars to control billions in spending without congressional vetting and oversight! They never had a President who was so hostile to capitalism! They never had a president whose actions were not challenged by the press! Finally, the American majority had enough. They have had enough of the rhetoric that is slick, void of substance and full of misinformation. They are tired of monstrous spending bills that are not even read. They are tired of the bashing of our intelligence community for keeping us safe for 8 years. They are tired of government trying to take over even our most personal right – our health care. Granted health care needs fixing, but not by building a staggering bureaucracy. Finally, they are tired of the administration trying to pave the road to socialism by taxing America’s entrepreneurial, self reliant spirit. Now the young, the old, the white, black, red and yellow, rich, poor, educated and not so educated traditional Americans are speaking out. They are direct and loud. They might not be as articulate as the anointed one, but their intentions are honorable, and they are directionally on target. It isn’t that they don’t want the President speaking to their children. They simply don’t trust him. For example, Obama told the kids to work and study hard, and be independent, then, he gives a speech a few hours later promoting a massive entitlement. By the way, when Bush 41 spoke to the school kids, the left lost it. Obama has given more speeches than days he’s been in office. One must ask, if you’re spending all your time giving or preparing speeches when is there time to do the work? I guess that’s why he gives everything to Nancy and Harry. Obama’s rhetoric is frustrating. He doesn’t flip flop. He promises everything and wants us to believe it is all free. The only free lunch in America is served at the mission for the homeless. Unlike the name-calling-left, the traditionalists have been, for the most part respectful, but when the bloviating becomes unbearable, it’s time to confront. I admire Congressman Joe Wilson for his comment at the joint session. He was right, Obama was lying. Now they’re trying to “tar and feather” him while they’re trying to remove the provision from the proposed bill, that opens the door to the “illegals,” in order to protect Obama’s reputation. Have we forgotten how rude the Democrats and their leaders were to Bush? They called him liar, crook, stupid and a murderer. Let stop the hypocrisy! I say, keep yelling! The future of the Country is at stake. Free Enterprise is at stake. Our pride and patriotism are at stake. Our freedom of speech is in jeopardy as are our traditional values and old fashion virtues. There are no free lunches. Taxes will go up for everyone. Our dollar will inflate, and our living standard will drop. Sometimes truth can only be wrought through friction. It is unfortunate and sad, but bipartisanism is dead. The ideological gap between traditional America and the left is far too great to bridge. Keep yelling, America! Because when you’re yelling, it is assured that we’re still breathing. |

We need more Joe Wilsons in Congress. I applaud his passion for the truth. I'm sorry he apologized. Where was the outrage when the Democrats spent 8 years name-calling Bush? Everything from a liar to a Nazi & never having been in the National Guard as a pilot(which got Dan Rather fired)
Back to Joe who was pressed to apologize. Has anyone ever heard the same request of the Dems who would stand, cheer & clap many times during the Obama speech?
Obama's town meeting are staged and controlled. Can you blame anyone's frustration. I agree with the writer. Keep yelling and demanding the truth. Keep yelling to stop the growth of government before it gets so big that there is no choice or air to breath.
In my stupid liberal town I was forced to watch Obama's inauguration and then after that in class pushed a bunch of his political bullshit.
