Does that help the little guy?

Obama has been president for less than six months, and he is already on his way to taking down this country, systematically moving from a capitalistic, free enterprise republic to Fascism (nationalizing private enterprise) then on to a Marxist style of massive government that is supported by an oppressively taxed citizenry. When I wrote over six months ago about my concern that we had given a guy who has never run a lemon aid stand, the biggest, most powerful job in the world I had no idea how quickly the damage would appear. It is true he inherited the economic turmoil, but it is how is has handled the problem, and how he is using his power that is frightening in a very real and immediate way. He promised change and transparency. We got change. I can hear it rattling my pocket. There is no transparency and he has used the political power we gave him, with his filibuster proof congress, with great skill. Remember, he is an extraordinary politician. His work as a community organizer, and work with Acorn has served him well - learning how to dupe the mindless part of the voting public into believing that he is for the little guy. Unfortunately the little guy will be hurt the worst. Let’s look at the mess! 1.TARP program – billions spent to prop up poorly run, greedy bankers. The money was to be used to loosen up credit. Result: The banks kept the money. Shrunk consumer credit lines and doubled credit interest rates especially with small businesses– Does that help the little guy? 2.Stimulus package – This was $700 billion bill Obama said we needed to pass immediately, or unemployment would reach 8%. Remember the 1000 pages that no one had time to read? Result: Unemployment is up to 9.6% and rising, only 10% of the money has been spent. Most of the money to be spent in 2011 and 2012. The bill with loaded with pork going to the blue states that supported him. – Does that help the little guy? 3.Government Motors – The bailout of GM and Chrysler. We gave them billions – a pay back to the unions, then allowed them to go into chapter 11. Result: the companies are still hemorrhaging money. 3000 dealers were closed down putting over 150,000 dealer non-union employees out of work – Does that help the little guy? 4.Cap and Trade - A bill pretending to help with global warming. This is the biggest con of all. Most people don’t even know what it means at. High carbon producing companies can buy carbon credit from low producing carbon emitting companies. Doesn’t really help global warming, but creates a tradable market for the investment sharpies to make money. Kind of like the church selling indulgences (read Martin Luther) to help sinners get to heaven. – Does that help the little guy? 5.Health Care – Everyone agrees we need reform but do we need a massive government bureaucracy? Steal from Grandpa’s Medicare! Increase taxes and issue penalties on small businesses that employ the unemployed! Even the most liberal economists will admit that increasing taxes during a recession shrinks revenue. Press the business man, and he will reduce overhead, cut staff, and move operations to a more-friendly place. Finally, the bill creates a monstrous bureaucracy. We all know how well the clowns in Washington are at running things. – Does that help the little guy? 6.Czars: He has appointed nearly 40 Czars reporting to him directly covering virtually every aspect of his responsibility. Not only are these Czars not appointed or vetted by the congress, but their activities are not audited. Is this transparency? Does that help the little guy? 7.Meanwhile, back at the ranch, as all this mess is growing, lets demoralize the CIA and run committees meeting chasing down Dick Cheney –all done to cover Pelosi’s ass. – Does that help the little guy? I could go on. My point is simple. We can’t wait for the country to become as dysfunctional as California. ($42Billion in the hole, paying in IOU’s, while increasing taxes) You don’t have to go to the Harvard Business School to know that, if you continue to spend 10’s of trillions $$, eventually our money will become worthlessly inflated. Confidence in our economy will drop. Taxes on everyone will increase. After all someone has to pay for the massive bureaucracies. If we over tax the rich, they’ll simply find a way to move their money and pay no taxes i.e., George Soros. We will be weakened in the eyes of the world. The bad guys will attack our vulnerability, and the greatness of the country will dissolve. Who will feel the pain? The little guy! The most frightening aspect of this presidency is that the media continues not to do their job by not reporting both sides of the issues. They almost operate like the President’s public relations department. This is dangerous for everyone. It is clear to me, no matter how slick Obama is of a speaker, or how mainstream his message is scripted, I firmly believe that the change he is promising is socialism. While Europe is moving to the right we’re moving sharply to the left. Wealth redistribution hasn’t, and will not work! It over burdens everyone, and creates a corruption incented bureaucracy. My solutions… drum roll please! Stimulus - A payroll tax vacation for one year for everyone. You may not pay income tax but everyone pays payroll tax. Get the money directly into the hands of the consumer to spend - Helps the little guy now !!! Health Care Reform - We have the best health care in the world. We need to fix it administratively. Fix the billing and charges so it is equitable. Make medical insurance available to all regardless of pre-existing conditions, and force everyone who works to pay even a token mandatory premium - like social security. 43 % of the alleged 40 + million can afford insurance. They choose not to pay, and live of the 90% of American who pay for health care. I like my doctors I want to incent and keep them. The horror stories of government run health care are endless! Cap and Trade – Call it crap and get laid, and dump it! It doesn’t produce jobs, doesn’t help the warming problem but increases the cost of doing business. Al Gore had gored enough. TARP – Financial institutions need regulation. They have proven time and time again they can’t be trusted. Re-instate usury laws and make everyone comply with reporting requirements. Pay the regulators the big salaries. Make it worth while to work for the people. Finally, we need checks and balances in government. One party control corrupted the Republicans, and the Democrats now foaming at the mouth with a Christmas morning excitement. 2010 can’t come soon enough. To help the little guy we just need to be fair and have equitable laws. As Thomas Paine wrote, we need Common Sense. |

Show Oldest FirstNicely stated arrogantly blunt!!! And i love the term "democrap" and i too believe that most liberals are brainwashed!
The House, run by Democraps, writes the spending Bills! The Senate, run by Democraps, signs off on these spending Bills!
People seem to forget that the Dems ran things for 4 of the 8 years. Thats why I support term limits for congress. If term limits are good enough for the president it should be good enough for congress.

Hello ryan29, It does my heart good to know that you and Marc are still brain washed Socialist Democrap Party Members! You keep saying Bush this, Bush that, get a clue! The House, run by Democraps, writes the spending Bills! The Senate, run by Democraps, signs off on these spending Bills! The problems we have now are from Barney 'chicken head' Frank and Nancy Po-lousy! You are so proud of the many Degrees you have, did you cheat on all your exams or are these Degrees Fantasy Fiction?
I bring up Bush becuase you people do not blame him for anything, yet it was his policies that got us into most of our current problems. you assholes ride Obama after six months but say nothing about W? That's bullshit! If after four years our country is still messed up, then it will be President Obama's fault. Furthermore, Caligolferchick, fuck you as always. Nice to see you back. And I'm all right with the job Obama is doing so far. Not completly ok with everything, but nobody is perfect. So why don't you GOP assholes enjoy your time in the wilderness, you certainly deserve it.
Ryan, you always bring up Bush. Lets move on and see what Obama is doing. I could careless about Bush, hes not the one currently destroying our country. Do you have anything better to say than calling people names and telling them to fuck themselves? You voted for change and you got it!!
Richard Clark
Isn't he the former counterterrorism chief under Presidents Clinton that dropped the ball? You know our embassies in Africa being bombed, The USS Cole, And 9-11? Ok now something credible.

Now Ryan calm down You're showing your degrees again. First of all, I was responding to Navy not you. Why do you personalize everything? You sound like a victim. This is not personal. I don't need to know the first or second thing about you. There is no proof that anyone lied. Clark was upset because he didn't get promoted. If his story had any legs, the main scream media would have run it on every front page. If the administration held back information then good for them. Congress keeps secrets like a sieve holds water. Today's media would have published the details of D-Day. You don't hate anyone? You can't say George Bush without foaming at the mouth. By the way, he just got $100 million for his library. I think I saw your name on the contributors list
hey Cusa, you don't know the first thing about me. so please answer my questions. did or Did the Bush Administraton not tell the CIA to find a WMD in IRAQ even though there wasn't one? Richard Clark. That's what point I was making, So fuck yourself Cusa your garbage. You got a lot of nerve telling me I live in the world of the thoeretical. So fuck yourself asshole, and kep praying, instead of actually going out there and doing something, just keep praying you will be all right. As long as nothing bad gets into your safe little world. Makes me sad to know how many close minded morons there are who rely on prayers to get them through. And for ther record, I don't have the energy to hate anyone, I just think people should be accountable, Bush jr. Your big on holding people accountable, so why not him?
You're wasting your time Navy. The left is so emotionally tied in knots with hating Bush that even if they found a cache of nuclear warsheads they'd cry foul, and conspiracy. They live in the world of the thoeretical, love to sit in the bleechers with hind sighted 20/20 vision, and bet on the game after its been played.

I was putting the old school house rocks from when I was a kid (1970s) on a DVD for my kids and this one from the carter adminastration really fits today. Glad I could find it on Youtube:
