May the dodo hit your flower covered fan!

I realize that thoughtful citizens must be uneasy with what is going on in the world these days. I will spare you my thoughts on the economy only to quote the Bible and say; physician, heal thyself. The government’s incompetence is a staggering thought. Spending like a drunken sailor didn’t work for Roosevelt nor did it work for the Japanese in the 90’s. Obama’s concept of exploiting a crisis is working. He is reminiscent of the woman who said, “What do you mean I have no money in the account? I still have checks.” What do you expect from a student of Saul Alinsky! However, that is another article.

My purpose in writing today is to address Marc’s question about what to do about the crazies in Iran, Korea and other mice who are trying to roar. With all the complaints from the left about military spending, I say only this, “Thank God, we have the best toys in the World. We have drones that can see a mouse on the streets in Teheran from a console in Arizona. We have smart bombs that can go down chimneys 100’s of miles away, or bust up underground bunkers. You can sleep well knowing that if Amapajamas or the ill Kim Jong start screwing with us, they’ll be sleeping with the fishes before the sun goes down without one boot on the ground. You don’t have to worry about water boarding when someone is stiff as a board. I say let them rattle their swords. Let them beat up on their protesting citizenry. Let them starve their people to build missiles. But let us speak softly, and carry a stick the size of Texas.

I do disagree that we need to have so many over seas bases. Officially the Pentagon counts 865 base sites, but this notoriously unreliable number omits all our bases in Iraq (likely over 100) and Afghanistan (80 and counting), among many other well-known and secretive bases. More than half a century after World War II and the Korean War, we still have 268 bases in Germany, 124 in Japan, and 87 in South Korea. Others are scattered around the globe in places like Aruba and Australia, Bulgaria and Bahrain, Colombia and Greece, Djibouti, Egypt, Kuwait, Qatar, Romania, Singapore, and of course, Guantánamo Bay, Cuba — just to name a few. Among the installations considered critical to our national security is a ski center in the Bavaria.* (Foreign Policy in Focus)

Bring everybody home except in Iraq and Afghanistan until the poop settles, and save a few bucks. Maybe we can better secure our borders and get rid for our uninvited boarders.

Now the only problem we have is President who is worried that everyone doesn’t like us. He apologizes wherever he goes for America’s behavior. He tells the Muslims that were not a Judeo-Christian nation. He wants to negotiate with Hamas and Hezbollah. He waited until the polls were overwhelming, and a 16 year old woman died in the street, before he showed any support for the protesters in Iran. He is a scary guy. He doesn’t get that compromise is regarded as weakness in those parts of the world. And now he is bankrupting the country by spending uncountable amounts of money, and then taxing everyone to pay for whatever inefficient system the government creates. He is circuitously destroying capitalism. The plan is to then let Denmark annex us!

Seriously, thank God we have a system that can prevent that from happening for very long. Statistically, only 20 % of the country is liberal, 42% is conservative and the rest independent. The people are already awakening. The spread between Obama’s likability and his policies is growing daily. So sleep well, we sill have the guys in the black helicopters looking after us

not sure why that was Anonymous bu it was mine

"He is my HERO OF A PRESIDENT. He had his way when it came to religion. He is one of those who needed prove."[\qoute]

However Washington was a Master Mason and one requirement of that is believing in a higher power ,not necessarily the Christian/Judea God, but none-the-less believe in a creator. Additionally Washington afirmed the oath by saying "I swear, so help me God!" and, bending down, kissed the open Bible.

Washington gives us little in his writings to indicate his personal religious beliefs. As noted by Franklin Steiner in "The Religious Beliefs Of Our Presidents" (1936), Washington commented on sermons only twice. In his writings, he never referred to "Jesus Christ." He attended church rarely, and did not take communion - though Martha. From: GEORGE WASHINGTON AND RELIGION. (calligolferchic)

He is my HERO OF A PRESIDENT. He had his way when it came to religion. He is one of those who needed prove. This is just a tiny portion about Christianity. He respects it though that people have different views and beliefs. Thanks, julita

To Ryan the Grate,
1 Res ipsa liquitur (not from the bible even though it is Latin) Is that secular enough?
2 Anyone who has read your litany of emotionless triads knows you're not angry only that you forgot your ritalin. I was always jealous of the kids like you who got to ride in the little yellow school bus.
3 Wrong on everything? Even a broken clock is right twice a day
4 43% of all statistics are made up
5 I would ask you to have an open mind but your brain might fall out.
6 Congratualtions for living in a state with the most politicians in jail. You have to stop voting!
Peace! I know you're smiling.

2. the only angry person is you, nutbag
3. what's it feel like to be wrong on everything
4. Stats don;t mean shit, anyone can twist them to say what you want to say.
Again, you have been broken down by Ryan the Great.

To Ryan the Grate,
I quoted the bible because that is where that quote came from -
not for any religious reasons. Its implied meaning, in this case, was that our ecomony has the ability to heal itslf without spending 10 trillion dollars and making matters worse.

By the way, we are a country based on Judeo-Christian principals that it historically accurate but does not imply that we are religiously intolerent. So Stop with all the angry bullshit. My point is that we are safe becuase we are strong - That shouldn't scare you but give you comfort. I have no problem with diplomacy but there is little evidence that appeasement ever worked with the crazies. Neville Chamberlain after his visit with Hitler said " There will be peace in our time" Six years later, 50 million men, women and children were dead! In closing, I quote the not so religious, Billy Joel: "There is always room for the angry young man with his fist in the air and his head in the sand"
