Yes! I do agree that a Presidential Administration that follows another Administration should be allowed to prosecute the former! “Obama acknowledged yesterday that lawyers from the Bush Administration who drafted memos authorizing the use of harsh interrogation methods on terror suspects could potentially face prosecution.” “Mr. Obama added that those responsible for writing the rules could yet be pursued through the courts.” “Mr. Obama’s decision to publish the “torture” documents has been criticized by former, and some current, CIA officials, who have warned that it gives terrorists too much knowledge of how far any interrogation they might face would go.” Dick Cheney, the former Vice-President, said he found it a “little bit disturbing” that Mr. Obama had chosen to publish only information showing what was done to detainees rather than the crucial information gleaned from such interrogations. Now, why would I support a stupid thing like what Mr. Obama is saying? It is simple! Mr. Obama will be out of Office in 4 to 8 years. He is doing things and saying things that will lead, I repeat, these things will lead to deaths, many deaths. This stupidity will lead to damage to many countries. He and all the people that allow this to happen should be prosecuted, put in a dark hole and have many law suites, taking every dime they make away from them when they leave Office. Yes, the precedent will be set and Mr. Obama will be a former Administration in hopefully 4 years not 8. Mr. Obama will allow the growth of terror. Mr. Obama will allow rogue nations to get WMDs. Mr. Obama will cost many lives. Mr. Obama should face the World Court/US Courts and be prosecuted when this takes place! The precedent will be set. Mr. Obama will be the cause of his own “precedent”. And the Congress was informed about what was going on, ‘harsh interrogations’. The Congress said nothing at the time. They should face prosecution, now, along with the former Presidential Administration! "Stupid is as stupid does." Forrest Gump The saying means that stupidity is not just a surface thing derived from a person's appearance. Stupidity is a matter of deeds, not looks. It comes down to this: judge people by what they do, not by how they appear. |

"One man's torture is another man's military training." Arrogantly Blunt
"SERE is Survival, Evasion, Resistance & Escape training and is a course for those in high possibility of enemy capture i.e. Special Forces, SEALS, Rangers, Force Recon etc. The course starts with Survival which is self-explanatory, many bunnies die so we may live, then comes Evasion where the students attempt to evade capture while being pursued, they are eventually scarfed up and then comes the fun part, Resistance. Students are transported to a prison facility and then get the Full Monty of coercive interrogation techniques in order to get them to sign a paper admitting to war crimes. All students know going in that they would spend less than a week in the prison, and that they couldn't actually be damaged permanently, yet virtually everyone of these macho studs "Signs Ze Papah" (Remember him stupeed one?). All of the students go in talking smack about how they will hang on and tough it out and in the end, I have only heard of one time when a group of Rangers banded together and fought their way out, all the rest of our biggest tough guys caved."

When you torture or act like your enemies...you are no better than them. Cheney did enough damage..he needs to shut his big mouth and go away.
Well I think there has been good and bad out of this. Although the mainstream media isn’t really covering it one good thing is that the general public can see that information that saved American lives was obtained via these interrogations. I hope former vice president Dick Cheney is successful in having additional documentation declassified that shows the success of these of this so called torture. Additionally the memos show the extensive safeguards that were put into place to ensure the safety of those interrogated. However the declassification of these memos was the equivalent of Philadelphia Eagles handing the Washington Deadskins their offensive play book. Thanks to these memos our enemies now know our self imposed limits on our interrogation methods. We basically gave the enemy a tool for counter-interrogation training. This could prevent us from obtaining information from interrogations in the future. If that happens and Americans are killed then their blood should be on Obama’s hands. As far as justice department prosecuting anyone there are already constitutional lawyers lining up willing to work pro bono publico in their defense. Well I’ve said enough. I better stop now before Janet Napolitano comes after me because I’m a right wing (bitter white person clinging to my religion and my guns) and a Veteran.

Thanks for sharing the link on torture.
I agree with this statement found there:
"Temporary suffering, degradation, humiliation and even distress are acceptable to me and I believe we should formally state that these are approved for high value prisoners."
I'm sure many of high school students have also experienced these feeling, if not seen worse.
