About TAC
The American Critic™ is primarily an online and service that allows members to submit content as various forms of media for the purpose of sharing, discussion, networking, and pursuing other related interests. The site allows users and user-submitted articles to be rated in terms of prolificacy and popularity. All forms of user-submitted content are subject to receiving public critiques. Members receive a personal profile sought to enhance their experience at TAC that contains information volunteered by the user, and at any time users may change the information contained therein and control the degree of information publicly available.
Information Collection and Use
TAC allows users to edit their profile and determine what information they would like to have displayed to other members. Information entered into the user profile, regardless of whether or not it is being displayed to other members, is collected by TAC and may be used at TAC's discretion in accordance with the law as a tool for evaluation, establishing quality assurance, and enhancing users' overall experience.
Due to the nature of the internet, when visiting TAC the internet protocol address (IP address), a number that identifies each sender and receiver of information, which is sent across the internet, identifies the last Web site you came from and the IP address of the site you visit after leaving TAC. We may record what pages of TAC you visit, your browser, operating system, and the times and dates. We use this information in order understand your preferences and to improve the quality of TAC as well as your experience on our site. We may also use this information for administrative purposes and to help diagnose technical problems.
TAC registration and subscription services require some personal contact information to be provided. Such user-volunteered information will be used solely for enabling TAC services, considered proprietary information, and remain confidential, not to be shared with parties outside of TAC's affiliated network, which may, from time to time, include a promotion sponsor or other authorized entity.

Non-Member Solicitations
TAC and TAC members are able to use TAC features to e-mail articles or other information and resources to non-TAC members. Email addresses of non-member addressees will not be sold or used outside of TAC's affiliate network. Emails sent to non-members contain information on how to terminate future delivery of e-mails sent by TAC.

Clicking an advertisement or other Web link may take you out of our site and to another site. We are not responsible for the privacy practices, policies, or content of sites other than TAC. Any transactions that occur between any user and a third party are not the responsibility of TAC. The third party being encountered should be contacted regarding any questions or concerns with their site.
Account Security
All TAC user accounts are protected by member-created passwords that prevent unauthorized access to member accounts. Only authorized TAC employees have access to personal contact and account information. Though the security of member account information cannot be guaranteed, we act swiftly and diligently to prevent and resolve issues of unauthorized entry or use and cases of information errors, and we encourage users to report security violations or suspicions thereof without delay by using the "Contact Us" link found on TAC's Home page.
Account Deactivation
To deactivate a TAC account, please send us a message using the "Contact Us" link located on TAC's Home page. TAC may request additional information to verify the authenticity of the request.
Correspondence
Any correspondence sent to us, including but not limited to emails, faxes, and letters may be retained indefinitely in your account records. We may also retain any correspondence that you have with TAC for account organization and administrative purposes.
Liability
At The American Critic, we value your privacy and actively implement measures to protect your information from unauthorized disclosures. We cannot, however, guarantee that your information will never be disclosed by or to an unauthorized third party.

By accepting our terms and conditions, you, as a member, give TAC express consent to use and disclose your personal information in the manner outlined within this privacy policy. Acceptance of this Privacy Policy, in conjunction with our Terms of Use, is required in order to complete registration and obtain TAC membership. If you object to your personal information being used in the manner outlined in this Privacy Policy, please do not register as a member of TAC or otherwise seek involvement with TAC.
