| Today 18 April 2009 was awesome. all four of the C?hicago teams in action today won. The Bulls beat the defending champion Celtics in Boston in Game one of the playoffs, Dereck Rose walks with the Gods. Meanwhile in Chicago, The Blackhawks, a young team on the rise all season, came back from a 2-0 defecit to beat the Flames 3-2 to take a dominating 2 games to nill lead in the best of seven series. The Bulls and Blackhawks have not been in the playoff together since 1997,a nd it is special. on the Baseball side of it, Chciago being one of the few cities with 2 teams and both of them were rocking today, The white sox killed the Rays in Tampa, and the Sox slugger;s Thome, Konkerko, dye and Carlo Quentin look like they are int he zone. finally, on the north Side, my beloved Cubs took a hard fought game from their archrival St. Louis. Aramis Rameriez jacking a two run homer in extra innings to cap off a perfect day here in the WindyCity. Sports is one of the reasons I moved back to Chciago, how can you nopt love it? Oh yeah by the way, the Bears got Jay Cutler, our QB for the future, yes sir, it is a good time to be living in the city of broad shoulders! |

Show Oldest FirstSitting in the bleachers at Wrigley Field is the best.
I remember being a "bleacher bum" back in the late 80s and watching the Cubbies play.

Oh and I moved back to Chicago when I was 26
Hey Shall! Yeah I lived in Chicago till I was 10 then we moved to Florida also, (weird concidence). Anyway, I love the Cubbies as well. When it comesto the White Sox, it is like this. I will never wear anything with the
White Sox logo on it, I stay true tomy Cubs. But I do love Chicago and I am gladwhen all the sportsa teams here do well. Besides I have to admit, watching a game at Sox park is pretty cool. it's no wrigley, but it's a brand new really nice stadium. Anyways, thanks for responding , let's seehow long the morons on this site turn my wordsinto socialism or something.
I am originally from Chicago also...born and raised there. We have lived in Florida for five years now, but I will always be a Chicago sports fan. (Not so much White Sox though...love my Cubbies)

That's good news!
