Stablemn says, "Courage is learned behavior"

In ordinary life, we tend to live in our own little area of comfort. Often referred to as our "comfort zone", this is the safety barrier that we build around ourselves to protect us from feelings of hurt,
pain, and the actions of others that we do not like. It's natural.

Every day it helps to take a step outside this comfort zone to expand our limits. Fearful challenges help us to build courage. Be a thinker
and experiment with your fears by understanding them, real or not?

Attitude adjustment time!
When faced with something frightening, think of it as a challenge that can be changed into an opportunity, (attitude). Turn the challenge into a duty that you have to do, and do not question it, just deal with it. Trust your instincts, skills and judgment and face the challenge head on by thinking clearly and making good choices.

Believe in yourself. Surround yourself with friends and family who believe in you too. Your sense of self-value will be enhanced if you give yourself the opportunity to "think that you can be someone or do something". Believing in your skills and abilities is key to using them well. Learn something of value, (how to fish) - (how to cook a roast) etc... think clearly & refresh your mind by reading good books.

Know your emotional limits. For example, if doing something in a crowd sends you into a panic, force yourself to understand it, think about it and do not fear it any longer. You will be humored how quickly fear runs away when you are busy doing "the thing you fear" etc...

Do one little thing outside your comfort zone every month. It doesn't have to be a big step, just something different from what you normally do or say. I used to write it on paper - then destroy the paper and it
made me feel so much better. Our minds don't need paper when we think
clearly. Teach yourself to think clearly. "Know Thyself" Socrates!

Express your individuality. Whether it's your sense of style, or even your manner of walking, cooking, speaking, etc... if your preferred way of doing something strays from the mainstream be proud of it. Learn to (learn) and apply what you have learned to get better.
