Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms?
This gives you the right to make your opinion heard. It takes 5 seconds. This is still a live link.

Our new Attorney General has already said this is one of his major issues.

This takes literally 2 clicks to complete. Please vote on this gun issue question with USA Today. It will only take a few seconds of your time. Then pass the link on to all the pro-gun/anti-gun folks you know. Hopefully these results will be published later this month. This upcoming year will become critical for gun owners with the Supreme Court accepting the District of Columbia case against the right for individuals to bear arms.

First - vote on this one. Second - launch it to other folks and have THEM vote - then we will see if the results get published. Vote in the USA Today poll - click on the link below. The Question is: Does the Second Amendment give individuals the right to bear arms? Vote here: !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The last time I checked the vote:
2,234,186 votes,
96% Yes,
3% No,
1% Undecided.

I'm sorry I meant to say, if it was up to you, not us. if it was up to my kind of people, we would ban all guns but shotguns and rifles.

The correct answer is NO the 2nd amendment does NOT GIVE us a right to bear arms. It merely defends an inalienable right we already have.

I noticed a few years ago, the Textbooks used in the “government” schools began to word things in this manner, teaching that our rights actually come from the Constitution. Maybe the ignorant person asking this question graduated from a “government” school.

The Question should read: Does the 2nd Amendment PROTECT the right of the people, (or the individual) to bear arms?

I will force myself to answer YES to their poll, which concedes to them the 2nd amendment actually confers a right, which it does not. If it does, then I suppose it can UN-confer that same right.
