Here's a good story on proof of election rigging: Election Rigging (CNN.COM) When I was living in Tallahassee working as a newswriter for the FSView, I recall certain neighborhoods being flooded with signs advertising the day to vote. However, the day advertised on the signs was a day later than the actual voting was to occur. I was astonished by how low of a ploy that was, and in conjunction with the referenced article, I believe similar ploys exist, many of which will go uncovered. Report voting ploys and fraud here Ultimately, the anxiety we experience when presented with vote tampering schemes bring us to the ongoing debate of paper versus electronic ballot. If whistle blowing is the only way we can reveal such ploys, can it work in both contexts, paper and electronic voting? ![]() |

Show Oldest FirstIts no laughing matter. This is a serious problem that is a lot more widespread than people think. There were counties during the election that did not post votes for certain candidates. Yet many residents of those counties came out and publicly stated they had voted for said candidates.
If we think about how your votes are tallied, it is very, very easy to rig an election. I forget the exact stats, but I seem to remember that its like 1 in every 3 electronic voting booths will erroneously record a vote for the wrong candidate. Even hand counting has its flaws. All a candidate/party has to do is get a large number of party members to staff the polling houses, and tallying warehouses.
Sure it may be illegal, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen.
