Original article published by FOXNews. http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,352241,00.html According to Al Gore and the mainstream media, global warming is here and will be here for years to come. And unless we do something, it will wipe out the planet. I do not jive well with Al's theory. His movie An Inconvenient Truth, is full of fallacy's and inaccuracies, which were purposely included in the movie to spread fear about a false claim of Global Warming. Many of the Arctic scenes where the ice sheets are crumbling are actually unused computer generate clips from the movie The Day After Tomorrow. Al Gore and associates earned an estimated 100+ million dollars in revenue based on his lie of "global warming". Clearly he is in it for the money. Why else would he be keeping the money, and not using it to fund research to an end of global warming? Simple. Because it is a lie. I felt compelled to clear the air about a lie which is believed as true by millions, if not billions of people. Back to the article. According to Professor Chapman, we as a planet, will face a long-overdue ice age. If I am remembering correctly, we are 400,000+ years pastdue for an ice age. I watched many a series of online videos posted on various websites. Maybe I am biased as I have never believed a single word that Al Gore or the MainStream Media (MSM) has falsely told us about global warming. If you're interested, here is a link to a series of videos on the Global Warming subject, which instead of lies and fear mongering, use facts to disprove global warning. Be forewarned, it is a long series, and is addicting, you won't want to stop watching. http://wmbriggs.com/blog/2008/01/27/best-statistical-scientific-talk-on-global-warming/ |

Another point to bring up is that Water Vapor is a more potent greenhouse gas than CO2 is. It contributes to the natural greenhouse warming process by approximately 60%. Where as CO2 is 20% or so, and the final 20% is a mixture of Ozone and many other gases.
Water Vapor also absorbs a larger spectrum of wavelengths than CO2 or any other greenhouse gas.
So, should we ban clouds? Ban perspiration? Ban watering our lawns? Ban boiling water?

You people don't believe in global warming....seriously?
... "right now, the biggest single source of air pollution in Washington isn't a power plant, pulp mill or anything else created by man.
It's a volcano.
Since Mount St. Helens started erupting in early October, it has been pumping out between 50 and 250 tons a day of sulfur dioxide, the lung-stinging gas that causes acid rain and contributes to haze.
Those emissions are so high that if the volcano was a new factory, it probably couldn't get a permit to operate, said Clint Bowman, an atmospheric physicist for the Washington Department of Ecology.
All of the state's industries combined produce about 120 tons a day of the noxious gas.
The volcano has even pulled ahead of the coal-fired power plant near Centralia that is normally the state's top air polluter. In the mid-1990s, when the facility's emission rate was about 200 tons a day, regulators pressed for $250 million in pollution controls to bring it down to today's level of 27 tons. ..."

I believe that global warming and cooling are naturally occurring phenomenas that man has a small if any influence on its course. If the Obama administration was serious about lowering carbon emissions he would have invested into expanding the country’s nuclear power infrastructure. Europe has proven nuclear power to be safe and the French have shown that the waste can be safely and effectively recycled. Instead he wants to regulate with new taxes. Who do you think will ultimately suffer from “cap and trade?” The consumers will be the ones who suffer by increased cost of electricity, increased fuel prices, increased food cost. I have a good friend who is a lobster-man in Maine, when the government imposed stricter regulations on the size of his catch; he increased his prices to counter it. Anyone who thinks that taxes are the answer is truly a fool.
Well said.

Well if you want to talk about the government using fear to further their agenda, you would really have to look no further than the previous administration. They were the kings of fear mongering. As a matter of fact, for a description in the dictionary they should list the Republican party as the origin of the word or words "fear mongering". You people don't believe in global warming....seriously? I guess that is why you think it is okay to continue plundering our environment for the personal gain of a few. It goes back that that age old belief from people such as yourselves that no harm could possibly be caused by me and my quest to get rich...must be nature. What a joke you are. Your selfishness astounds me, but I don't know why. I really should be used to it by now.
"OBAMA’S RECENT COMMENTS ON BANKRUPTING THE COAL INDUSTRY, BY OUTRAGEOUS TAXES, SUGGEST THE COAL-RUST BELT TO BE AN EARLY CASUALITY OF OBAMA’S ENERGY PLAN."

Scare tactics can allow the government to increase taxes, that is very true.
Excess taxes usually do not increase the money flowing into government coffers.
Excess taxation is most often used to control and finally kill what is being taxed.
The "age old trap":
We tax them to protect you from the rapist of the planet.
We tax them to clean up the air, the water, the earth.
We tax them to protect the future.
We tax them for the benefit of your children. "Do it for the children."
(We use lies and half truths to control/destroy.)
If you believe in "Conspiracy Theories" read the above.

Screw off!!
