The way I see it

Hard to believe Chicago was booted out of the first round of the Olympic selection. This, the most American of cities. Clearly, there is a great deal of Anti-American bias. Rio? Come on! that place is a ghetto once you get passed the tourist spots. I admit Chicago has it's problems, but still. In, the end, it doesn't matter. This is Chicago, and we can take it. We don't need an Olympics to tell us we are a world class city. We are Chicago.
I wish that those who are advocates of looser guns laws would spend some time on the South/West side of Chicago, where school children are getting murdered, five since the school year started. I admit that these are lower income areas, high in crime, gang violence, but does that make it ok? is it all the parent's fault? or those we are less fortunate? Fuck guns, if your hunting great, use one. if you need a gun to feel safe, then I say your a fucking loser. yes, that means all you NRA loving pieces of shit. Mayor Daly, please bring a federal task force in and clean out these gangs. Chicago has one of the toughest gun laws in the nation, and yet their is still gun violence. that being said I still feel far safer here in Chicago than I did when I lived down south and could purchase a gun. What's that say? And for those of you about to retort that I don't spend much time in the bad places in Chicago, I say Fuck you, you don't know shit.
It's really sad that Erin Andrews, ESPN's sideline reporter, and a damn good one at that, can't simply be a woman and do her job. some sick, twisted loser videotapes her changing in her hotel room and I read on the internet that she brought it on herself. That's bullshit, pure and simple. It amazes me how many sick fucks are in this country. but it shiuldn't, There were plenty of you misguided losers who voted for W, and that makes me sick.
My thoughts on Health care? I say Obama should have just said fuck you and ordered the public option put in. Why shouldn't all Americans have a right to health care? Why is it all about the people who got it? Socialist? maybe, but who cares? Are we not all Americans? there is way to much of a gap between the haves and the have nots. There are already so many socialist programs in this country. To me, watching those town hall debates, people were more into screaming back then actually reading and learning what it was all about. To quote Rep. Frank, "what planet do you currently spend your time on?"Loved it! I also agree with Arlen Spector when he said he never seen America so angry. And he's right. there's a huge divide in thinking here. Having had the experience to live in the south and now a big mid western city, it really amazes me how different we are. those of you who read me should have no trouble knowing which way I lean.
Well those are some of my thoughts, I know It's been awhile since I posted, and I can only imagine what the right wing zealots are saying on this site. bunch of losers. Also, please don't tell me that you think I'm angry, I just call it like I see it. Truth is, I'm as passionate about what I believe as you right wing fucks are. Don't like the name calling, to bad, use your gun on me, I know that's how most of you gun toting douchebags feel like you got a pair of balls.
until the next time,
Ryan the Great

Everytime except for one of the times I was home. Two of the times they didn't have the time to take anything because I walked in on them. The other time they took my bike because my garage door was partly open. It doesn't matter what they took those times or if anyone was home because all it would take is the one time I walk in and they are armed, that is why I arm myself. Who and when I get broken into is not dictated by who has broken in in the past.

Question Clark. Each time your home was broken into, what do they take? Each time, were you or someelse was home?

It's not about feeling safe, it doesn't make me comfortable. If someone breaks into my house and is armed, I want to increase my chance of survival. Owning a gun does that.

Four times too many. When was the last time you had a peaceful sleep? Or, a worry-free day?

on October 12th, 2009 at 8:57 PM

yes, I feel safe with a gun in my house. Why? My house has been broken into four times and I keep it for the time when they break in and have a gun but i am able to take the first shot and save my own life. During Clinton's firearm ban statistics showed that while homicides by firearm dropped drmatically, murder rates were unaffected by the ban which shows that the murders are murdering people with a different weapon. I don't know where you live but if you feel safe in you home without a gun then you must live in a pretty nice neighbourhood and really wouldn't know what it's like to be robbed and broken into in a town where murder rates are high and the police don't have the manpower to do anything about it.

It is a good talk Ryan. Being a mom with three sons it was one of the things I worry about constantly (guns). It is my job to worry about them because who will. However, there is only so much I as a parent can do but thank GOD they are all still stayin out of trouble. Don't mind me about GOD. YOU SAY PEACE AND I SAY GOD BLESS YOU RYAN.

Shall0, how are you?

If you feel safe by owning a gun there is something sad and wrong about you. bottom line. gun violence a big part of what is wrong in our country. not the only thing but it is a big issue. And I misspoke, I meant to say I am totally against handguns, concealed weapons and automatic weapons. What possible use do those have? Nothing. If you want to own a shotgun, a rifle, fine. I respect hunting, and the bill of rights. Handguns, what purpose do they honestly serve?

I agree that gun violence is an issue but outlawing guns is not going to solve it. Outlawing handguns is not going to stop the violence. If somebody has no respect for human life, they are still going to have that murderer mentality. You mentioned automatic weapons. I agree I see no need for fully automatic weapons either. Even though fully automatic weapons are illegal they still seem to fall into the hands of the bad guys. The problem is that the current laws are not being enforced.

What would you do if somebody broke into your home? My highest priority is protecting my 6 & 8 year olds and I will do it with extreme prejudice. I have no problem with putting a few rounds into the chest of somebody robbing my home. Other then that I enjoy target shooting.

[qoute]I find thta most people who own handguns are insansely proud of themselves, like they are special, must be making up for the fact that their mommies didn't love them or whatever.

I agree those are the people that more then likely wouldn't have the stones to use the gun. They are the ones that end up shooting themselves. The have no respect for a weapon. I'm not that way. Other then this blog or if you see me at the range, I rather nobody know I own a firearm.

I"m sorry for stereo typing but I find thta most of the people who are so for gun control and the NRA are deeply religious, intolerant people who have closed minds and have no wish to see people as equals. You should see a lot of that in the south, and if you don't Navy Boy, then that means you one of those people.

There is a lot of that in the south but to be truthful I've seen that ignorance all across the country. After twenty years in the navy I see all people as equal. There are good and bad in all races. However are you really tolerant of those who don't align themselves with your beliefs?

I also love how you don't bother to discect the entire articles I write, but rather one sentence and then frame your response based on one sentence.

other then the gun remarks & public option comments, I agreed with most of it.

You people (NRA) want it to be ok to sell guns to whoever! Let's just all kill one another! Puke!

No its not ok to sell a firearm to whoever. I'm all for waiting periods and I believe if convicted of any crime other then a misdemeanor you should loose your second amendment rights. I also believe if you use a gun in the commission of a crime if it should be an mandatory twenty years. If somebody murders another, and I don't mean in self defense, the should either be put to death or locked away for life.

I also love how you don't bother to discect the entire articles I write, but rather one sentence and then frame your response based on one sentence. Do you have any thoughts on anything else? let's get back to gun violence. What we don't need is the NRA, lobbyists who are pro gun control in our country. You people (NRA) want it to be ok to sell guns to whoever! Let's just all kill one another! Puke!

let me get this straight, you can call a liberal filmmaker who cares deeply about the issues in his films a fat pig, compare our president to Hitler, support easing gun laws, and you accuse me of targeting you?

I believe that was AB comparing the big "O" to Hitler. Your right I was wrong in calling Moore a “fat pig.” However I believe the only thing that Moore cares about is the spotlight and revenue from his films. But we can agree to disagree on Moore.

Obama to a mass murderer, but you then play the victim when I respond back harshly?

Where did I? I’ve compared him to a socialist and a fascist. Those are valid labels for his politic views.

Deep seeded hatred for Christianity? Why? because I have the courage to ask questions, think a different light? Well fuck you man, I call out your bullshit. Also I don't hate any religious group. I just have no use for religion whatsoever. So spare me your psycho babel bullshit. It's great you have faith and I respect the fact that you served in our arm forces, but other than that I think your full of beans. Deep seeded hatred for Christianity? Why? because I have the courage to ask questions, think a different light?

Well maybe I was confused by this coment:

ryan29 on October 11th, 2009 at 9:47 PM- Here's an idea, why don't you and the rest of those right wing religious nutcases just hurry up and go see your God?

Your the one that started talking about religion when I made no reference to it.

The bottom line is this Navy Boy, I speak my mind, type what I feel, and that's that. If you don't like it, great! but don't ever think I will be silent on issues that concern me.

Believe it or not I want you to have an opinion and to take a stance. I respect that more than those that just decide to be a fence rider. However, when others stand up for what they believe and it’s in contrast to your beliefs you attack the person not the issue.

So once again I ask:

So without insults and obscenities explain how outlawing firearms will end this madness?
